Hello,
our SAP Business Warehouse system is running on V7R1 with SAP Netweaver 7.30.
The Java part was installed some time later so we currently have a dual-stack system (ABAP stack is non-unicode, Java stack is unicode).
To get this system SAP HANA ready there have to be three steps performed:
1.) dual-stack split
2.) convert ABAP stack to unicode
3.) SAP upgrade to at least Netweaver 7.40
Is this the correct order (1-2-3) or would you suggest a different order? Maybe 2-1-3?
I know that 2 & 3 can be combined in an "Combined Upgrade & Unicode Conversion procedure (SAP Note 928729 - Combined Upgrade & Unicode Conversion (CU&UC)) " but in order to reduce downtime I might prefer to do this in two separate steps.
Kind regards
